Let's celebrate!

This coming weekend is a very special one. We, argentinians, are celebrating our 200th Birthday, so Happy Birthday to us!

There are as many ways of celebrating birthdays and happy occassions as there are people on this planet. But one way to do it can be to indulge in what we really like doing.

What about taking some time to sit down with our loved ones, all tucked in together under a warm blanket, and enjoy a story, a nice book, a photo album -almost a relic these days!- or a family anecdote?

What about some craft - making jewellery, painting wooden boxes or even knitting? What about making a collage, or even a quilt, sewing or sticking together pieces of cloth, paper or photos to tell or remember a story we are all familiar with?

What about a talent show with family and friends once dinner is over? Everyone can prepare something to give to the rest as if it were a present, and in the meantime share some marshmallow, por corn or pastelitos de dulce!

What about cooking, playing cards, a board game, or just watching a movie together?

What about...just hanging out ...together???

Hope you have a lovely long weekend, wherever you are, whoever you are with, whatever you choose to do to celebrate the birthday of our nation!

Just remember to take the time to plant story seeds in your fields, so you can share them and cherish them in the years to come! There is nothing as sweet as sweet memories!

Last Saturday Dynamic English Centre and Reading Thinks

held a lovely Book Fair in the Belgrano Area.

I was the narrator at this event, and I was very fortunate to be welcomed by the two hostesses: Romina Muse, who runs Dynamic English Centre,

and Karina Jimenez, who represents Barefoot Books in Argentina.

As I shared and told different stories,

I was joined by enthusiastic kids, parents, siblings and families!

Story Flowers

Today I would like to share with you some photos my husband took for me last weekend.

These flowers and lovely autumn leaves can be great sources of inspiration.

The incredible colours and textures can be very powerful to retrieve or create old and new memories, old and new stories.

I strongly believe there is a story hidden inside each and every one of these pictures.
