The first seed

Story Fields
came to be after the long and pleasant process of rediscovering a passion. The passion for stories, the passion for sharing, the passion for magic.

My life, and I am pretty sure yours as well, has always been filled with stories. Stories about love, loss, gain, death, life. And all these stories have left seeds, and plants, and trees inside of me.

As a teacher, I have always enjoyed and cherished the magic moment of sharing a story with my students, no matter how old they are, or how many they are, or what level of English they have. Stories always work.

When I became a mom, the most special and magic event in my entire life, all those stories started to make sense because I was able to share them with my daughters.

Now, when my students come and go, and when my daughters begin to grow, I am ready to share those stories, this passion, with more people. Because of this I created Story Fields: to travel from place to place, from school to school, from class to class to share with all of you my favourite stories, those which have left powerful seeds in me, in my students, in my daughters, in my family and friends; so that my stories can also become part of your story fields, and we may have a world of stories surrounding us and supporting us.

I am very grateful to a lot of people who have helped me, who are helping me now and who will help me with this dream, with this passion of telling stories to varied audiences that I have entitled Story Fields: my family, my friends and co-workers, old and new, for their support, help and encouragement.

As you can see, there are many people involved in this dream, in this passion. Thank God, Dreams come True.

So long!

Story Fields

The strong power and long lasting impact that stories can have on people is something that has always bewildered me.

Eyes opening wide, jaws dropping, involuntary sounds produced in the middle of a story telling event are some of the things I really appreciate and cherish in life.

To me, the words in a story are like seeds that somehow find their way out of the teller's mouth to land in rich and fertile soil.

Those words then, those stories are nurtured in the listener's hearts and souls, growing and expanding, till in due time they become Story Fields: the fields of stories that walk with us through life providing a nice memory, a sweet word, a pleasant anchor in times when we need it most.

May your fields be full of stories,
and your stories full of dreams.
